Medical and evacuation cover
Check treatment limits, deductibles, pre-existing-condition rules and whether emergency evacuation or repatriation is included. Save the assistance number offline and learn whether the insurer requires approval before non-emergency private treatment.
Activities and road travel
Standard policies may exclude skiing, horse riding, high-altitude hiking, off-road driving or other adventure activities. Declare planned activities and confirm the altitude and equipment conditions in writing. A tour quotation does not replace personal travel insurance.
Cancellation evidence
Understand covered reasons, claim deadlines and required documents. Keep booking confirmations, payment records, airline notices, police reports and medical certificates. ‘Cancel for any reason’ is not standard and should never be assumed unless the policy explicitly provides it.
