Gabala is Azerbaijan's premier mountain destination — a Gabala resort town in the Caucasus foothills that functions as both a summer retreat and a winter ski base. Tufandag is the main Gabala resort hotel complex: ski-in/ski-out in winter, cable car and forest walks in summer, with a full spa and indoor pool year-round. Alongside the resort, Gabala offers riverside hotels, Lake Nohur, the Gabala International Music Festival in July, and easy day trips to local villages and waterfalls.
