Shahdag Mountain Resort is Azerbaijan's flagship ski resort, located in the Quba-Khachmaz region of the Greater Caucasus. With a base altitude of 1,650m and summit at 2,400m, it offers 9 ski runs totalling over 25 km of slopes, plus a terrain park and snowboarding area. The snow season typically runs from December through March.
In summer, the resort transforms into a mountain adventure park with cable car rides, zip lines, mountain biking, and hiking trails. The cable car rides alone are worth the trip — the views across the Caucasus from 2,400m are spectacular.
