Central Baku, adjacent to Old City
Fountains Square is the beating heart of modern Baku — a pedestrianised plaza surrounded by 19th-century European-style architecture, contemporary boutiques, cafes, and the iconic illuminated fountains that give the square its name. It marks the main entrance to the Old City and is the starting point for most Baku walking tours. In the evenings it fills with families, couples, musicians, and street artists.
