Ismayilli is Azerbaijan's premier wine region — a district of forested foothills between Baku and Sheki where vineyards have operated continuously for millennia. Fireland Vineyards (Ismayilli) and nearby producers offer cellar tours and tastings. The region is also home to Ivanovka, a fascinating village settled by Molokan (Russian Christian) communities in the 19th century who have maintained their distinctive culture, food traditions, and beekeeping practices. Api Delta is a 15-hectare honey farm near the historic village of Lekit offering masterclasses and guided tastings. Ismayilli sits on the main Baku–Sheki road, making it an easy half-day addition to any northern loop itinerary.
