Sheki and Gabala sit close enough together — roughly two hours apart through forested foothills — that visiting both on the same trip barely adds driving time over visiting either alone. Six days takes our 5-day Sheki itinerary and extends it one more night, swinging through Gabala on the way back to Baku rather than retracing the same road.
This is the shortest itinerary that gives you the genuine contrast between Azerbaijan's two main highland towns — Sheki's Silk Road palaces and caravanserai architecture against Gabala's cable car, alpine lake, and mountain resort feel. Quba and its pomegranate orchards don't quite fit at 6 days; that addition starts at our 7-day tour.
