Do you actually need an invitation letter?

Most eVisa-eligible nationalities do not need an invitation letter at all — the standard online eVisa application is sufficient on its own.

An invitation letter is a formal document from an Azerbaijan-based host (an individual, hotel, or tour company) confirming your visit, occasionally required for visa applications outside the standard eVisa system — for example, certain visa types processed through an embassy rather than online, or for longer or business-purpose stays. For the great majority of leisure travelers applying through evisa.gov.az, no invitation letter is needed.
