About these tours

Azerbaijan's calendar has three genuinely unmissable events: Novruz (spring equinox, late March) fills Baku with street bonfires, public celebrations, and a citywide festive energy that's completely unlike the rest of the year. The Gabala International Music Festival in July draws international classical performers to an outdoor stage in the Caucasus foothills — a remarkable combination. Autumn harvest festivals in Sheki and Quba mark pomegranate and hazelnut seasons with local craft fairs and traditional food.

Frequently asked questions
When exactly is Novruz?
Novruz marks the spring equinox — typically 20–21 March. Street celebrations in Baku peak in the week before and on the day itself, with bonfires (symbolic of the old year burning away) visible across the city. Book early — it's the most in-demand window of the year.
Do I need to book far in advance for the Gabala Music Festival?
Yes — Gabala festival week typically sells out its best accommodation 2–3 months ahead. We strongly recommend enquiring at least 3 months before the target date for this tour.
Are festival tours only available at specific dates?
Yes by definition — festival tours are date-constrained. We can sometimes accommodate flexibility of 1–2 days around the target event, but the festival itself is a fixed date.
Are festivals appropriate for families with children?
Yes — Novruz in particular is a family celebration, and the Gabala Music Festival outdoor setting works well for older children and teenagers.
